Art from the Heart
Art from the Heart is a collective of 11 students from Expressions Arts Prep Academy working together to coordinate community outreach initiatives, specifically targeting seniors in the memory care unit. They organized an Art Walk for the seniors at The Village Concepts by showcasing 100s of incredible artwork for the seniors, alongside engaging activities like Spiral and Spinning art, jewelry making, origami, glass painting, tile painting, cookie painting, cotton candy, popcorn, music, carnival games, and more. Concurrently, these students develop practical skills in establishing and running their own businesses, cultivating entrepreneurship skills.
Super proud of each one of my kids for volunteering their time and effort to bring such joy in others lives. The students showcased amazing pieces of artwork for the seniors to enjoy, along with a lot of other fun activities such as Spiral and Spinning art, jewelry making, origami, glass painting, tile painting, cookie painting, cotton candy, popcorn, music, carnival games, and many more. Special thanks to our Adult Mentors Lavanya and Riha for helping organize the whole event, you guys are amazing.
